On Saturday,
September 6th, 2014, we hosted a special celebration event for
all of our supporters and the general public....
Our second first group of 35 young sturgeon, raised in our very
own onsite hatching and rearing facility here in New Richmond
were "sent home" into the Kalamazoo River with much
fanfare. We wanted to throw a big event to celebrate our first
major success of this exciting program.
Hundreds of people turned out for the event which included special
guided tours of the site and the hatching/rearing station, various
information booths about our program and related sturgeon efforts.
The weather was perfect - a great time was had by all. Posted
